VLF radio activity <9KHz

Experimental (amateur?) radio activity seems to be increasing below 10KHz.

Close stations should be detectable by the 10KHz lightning network, but will it be a problem? I could see a benefit coming from this, the signal sources would be from a known geographic point and may be used for azimuth calibration.
