Port 4711 and 4712

Port 4711 and 4712

Postby embayweather » Tue Jul 17, 2012 8:39 pm

Suddenly I no longer have access to these ports. nothing has changed, computers , network router etc. But, when I try and access the ports they are not available. No amount of tinkering with port forwarding will free them up. Unless I can do this then I can no longer use LR, so it is vital I find some way. I have tried all sorts of things like port checkers and route tracers, none help. I have tried firewalls as well.Has anyone any ideas as to how I can rectify the problem please?

Thanks

Best wishes

Hi Mike,

When you dedicate a port forwarding in your router, you must also put the IP of the PC where the port is forwarded.

Is the IP of the PC where LR runs the same (must be static and not DHCP)?

Best regards

Thanks for your thoughts Daniel. I am always certain that I port forward in the router to the correct IP address as I always check with IPConfig and in the router after any reboot etc. I have a dedicated PC so I am trying to rule out any conflicts with that too. Strangely it started working yesterday, not sure why yet though. I will keep everyone appraised. I do so want to make this system work, for all sorts of reasons.

Best wishes
