It's thanks to Frank and his brilliant plans if I started to get interested in lightning detection.
Thank you Frank, I will not forget you.
A big hug and my condolence to all his family.

I am very much the newbie here but I ma very conscious of the legacy he has left behind as well as the respect within which he was held. It is a tremendous loss not only to this group but to the wider meteorlogical world. My deepest sympathies are extended to his family, I am sure he will be keenly missed by many.

Adieu Frank.

This is hard for his Family, and for his friends.

Frank inspired MANY,I never build his design but it inspired me and my contact with Frank was nice.

My sincere condolence to his wife family and friends.

What remains is not only a big gap, as we will remember Frank as he was.

My first LR contact was 2007 and I was impressed of Frank's easy lightning radar system.
Yes, he was a pionieer in amateur LR systems. Thank you Frank

My sincere condolence to his family.

Thank you all for writing those beautiful sentiments, I have tears in my eyes as I remember the emails I had with Frank and the success I had with my antenna. A wonderful insight into a technical project, a man who made the difficult project into reality in a simple way. A brilliant mind and a character of perseverance - nothing was impossible! He obviously worked on other challenging projects at work and succeeded in all things. A man who brought many people together through his brainwave and interest in the weather and storms.

You will be missed by all on here. My thoughts and condolences to his family and close friends.
