help port 4711

Hi everybody

I seem to be having a problem I have tried to open port 4711 so I can triangulate
with other users

I have tried everything I could think of I am using a netgear router DG834G

as anybody got a similar setup or another solution to open a port to use with the lightning system


I have opened the port in the firewall settings in the router and I did a test and the results were my IPS provider was blocking the port

Have you set a NAT for 4711 port to your PC's IP ?

There could be on your router a menu called "NAT setup" or something similar...
You have to set a new rule where all IP traffic coming from INTERNET (IP 0.0.0.0 all IPs) to your port 4711, will be redirected (NATted) to your pc's IP and port 4711. Don't forget to "apply " new rule and reboot router after... and open port also in windows's firewall
