So, you have that unlock code, what you use with your old machine?
Ok, This is easiest way to do it:
Open your network card settings and manually write unlock file's MAC address to there.
-> Start -> Settings -> Network connections -> click a connection icon what you
are using by right mouse click. Select "Properties" -> When properties window open: -> Configure -> Advanced (tab).
Now you have to find this kind OR similar text: "Network Address". When you select it, you can see, that "Not present" selection is active. Click circle over it and write your unlock key's MAC address to text box. Use only 0-9, A-F characters. Not spaces, not lines whatever...
Ok, use your original unlock.key file. Start LR. Is it ok now? It is? Ok, that's all, BUT
if not! Check your network adapter number when LR starts. If you have a multiple LAN cards etc, you have
to edit your original key file. Just move your old code & mac address to correct place....
This "copy protection" was a joke to solve, but it can burn brains, when the supplier is gone...
Btw. If you have setup, where your LAN card MAC is used with other, similar kind of copy protections,
you always can create "Microsoft Virtual Loop Adapter", which will work with LR without problem.
